The SZ Foundation

SZ Foundation was established in honor of Scott Everett “Scotty” Zornes. Though his time here was far too short, Scotty, in his unique way, intersected with a broad and diverse cross section of people. Owing to the abundant memories for those with whom he connected, a group of close friends established the Foundation with the dual purpose of perpetuating a celebration of Scotty’s life and in so doing, provide a means to advance causes he would have embraced were he able to. Thus, the Foundation’s mission is as follows.

Our Mission

The SZ Foundation strives to perpetuate the memory and legacy of Scott Everett Zornes by hosting events and partnering with Houston organizations to raise funds for charities and institutions that align with Scotty’s integrity and character.

We donated $2,000 to the 2022 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Poultry Auction and this is one of the letters of thanks from one of the recipients / exhibitors.
